Granny`s Famous Funnel Cake Haus in Helen

Good funnel cake but way overpriced! Staff was ok. Don't need to go back.

I got a jalapeño pretzel and thought it was delicious but the service left something to be desired. The thing that stands out the most about Helen to me is the amazing friendliness of the people working in the shops and restaurants so it stands out when you go somewhere and the service is less than stellar, the music was extremely loud and the clerks were far more concerned with the songs that were playing then providing service to their customers.

If you have a craving for funnel cake this place has great funnel cakes.

The guy that usually works there is clearly unhappy with his job and unpersonal. Only been able to eat there once and he was just "unhappy" is best I could describe. Tried going a 2nd time while on vacation a few months later and called at noon to ask when store closes (no business hours posted anywhere) Guy said "around 8." I know it was off-season so I'm thinking that meant 7:45 MAYBE 7:30pm so I wasn't going to wait until 8 of course to be considerate. Didn't matter. I get there at 6:55pm and his girlfriend told me he was closed. It is good cake from first time I was actually able to get some but its not really hard to mess up funnel cake tho.

Nice funnel cake ... although they got lot of options for toppings but i think powdered sugar is the best . Enjoyed the ice cream and fresh lemonade too !! Must try when you visit helen !

Horrible customer service. After we bought a funnel cake we were finding a seat to eat it and the worker told us to leave that the inside was closed. He was very rude about it!!! There was nowhere on the patio to sit down and it was lightly raining. I should have gave them back the funnel cake for a refund. But we found a wet bench to eat on IN the rain. Everyone else in the town was great but I WILL NEVER go there again!!!!! There's another funnel cake place on the other side of the street down a hall. I'd go there!!!!

Sugar high galore. Nailed it with the funnel cake.

Staff stood behind the counter looking at their cell phones while the dirty tables and floor needed attention and trash removed. Was afraid to eat a funnel cake due to the mess.

Service was good here. The funnel cake was amazing, especially if you add a scoop of strawberry ice cream.

I love to come here to get funnel cakes when I visit Helen. They are big, not to crispy, and delicious. The only reason I don't give it five stars, is the service. It seems as if they are just annoyed or fed up with working there. Either way it's off putting.

Filthy is an understatement. It's old, yes, but the lack of cleanliness in this place is deplorable. How it passes an inspection I'll never know.

I thought the worker there might not want to work. He was so grumpy and forgot my order. I had to remind him of my topping. The funnel cake was good. But i dont want to go back there again.

they suck. and if you're not white then idk what to tell you. one of the employees wore a "Good ol Boy" t shirt, he didn't seem very happy when me and my girlfriend walked in. we are not white. facts

Love the funnel cake!!! BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST. THEY NEED TRAINING FOR CUSTOMER SERVICES OR TO MAKE IT EASIER NEW STAFF WITH CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. "I TOLD THE CASHIERS IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB GET A NEW ONE" OTHER EMPLOYEES REPLY "NO ONE LIKES THERE JOB". SORRY BUT IF YOU WORK FOR CUSTOMER SERVICES YOU NEED TO LOVE IT OR GO WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS.

Usually this is my go to funnel cake spot when I come to Helen but I was very disappointed. The top was cooked too long appearing burned and it was very thin. It did not taste good at all.

Pretzel was good, but for$7.00 could've been bigger

Went here today and the funnel cake tasted horrible. The cook said to me "I told them that batter was no good and they said serve it anyway". He said the batter was a few days old. He made me another one and it tasted bad too. He said that batter was made yesterday. Why would they not have fresh batter? I paid $12 for a funnel cake and a drink. Never will I go back to this place.

All though the 2 girls working, granny is not either girls granny, they where sweet and did a good job on a busy day. Funnel cake was awesome and worth it.

The funnel cake was good but the customer service was horrible.

Warning: Health code violations - going from cash register to touching a pretzel AND using said dirty hands/finger to stop the flow of batter in the funnel without washing hands and using gloves during any part of food handling is very disgusting and a health code violation. Tongs were only used (still no gloves or hand washing) to remove hot product. Customers beware.
